Our Approach to Medication Information

This platform presents medication information as published by official U.S. government sources. We adhere to the following editorial principles:

1. Data Fidelity

We present medication label information as retrieved from official government APIs without alteration. We do not rewrite, summarize, or interpret medical instructions in ways that could change their meaning. Official labeling text is clearly labeled as such.

2. Source Transparency

Every piece of medication information includes its source, retrieval date, and links to the original data. Users can verify the information against the original source.

3. No AI-Generated Medical Content

We do not use artificial intelligence or large language models to generate, summarize, or interpret medical information. All clinical data is sourced directly from official government databases.

4. Plain-Language Explanations

Where we provide explanatory notes or definitions (e.g., explaining what a “boxed warning” is), these are clearly separated from official label text and labeled as explanatory content. These notes are written using deterministic templates and authoritative definitions from medical sources.

5. No Medical Recommendations

We do not recommend medications, compare drug efficacy, or suggest treatment approaches. Our comparison tools present factual side-by-side label information without declaring one drug superior to another.

6. Corrections and Updates

We regularly synchronize data with official sources. If errors are identified in the source data, we note them and link to the authoritative correction. Users can report potential inaccuracies through our corrections page.

7. Adverse Event Information

Any adverse event information is presented with clear methodological limitations. We never characterize adverse event report counts as incidence rates, risk percentages, or proof of causation.

8. Advertising Policy

Any future advertising on this platform will be clearly distinguished from editorial content. Ads will never be placed within warning sections or medical content in a way that could cause confusion.
